I would like to narrate one of my very recent experiences while travelling from Pune to Belgaum. There are 4 KSRTC Volvo buses leaving Pune to Bangalore , Mysore , Mangalore. These buses are at very convenient time starting from 330pm from upto 7 pm. I travelled by the 330 pm with a prior reservation ticket. After reaching Kolhapur the driver told me that the bus wont go to Belgaum Bus stand and would stop on the highway. You know it is very difficult to get any auto from the highway after 930pm. I requested the driver to take the bus to bus stand since i have a valid Pune – Belgaum ticket of KSRTC abd I had lot of luggage. None of my request worked , finally i told him that i would complain to the DC and concerned officials . Good sense prevailed and after fighting for over 30 minutes the bus came to bus stand.
This inconvenience to customer is uncalled for and I presume the KSRTC buses should not run on the whims and fancies of drivers. Is there any way we can put this matter to higher authorities and ensure that all Pune to South Bound Volvo buses stop at Belgaum. I am also sending a request letter to concerned officials.
I have also observed that these buses are not full and have atleast a few seats which can be occupied by people waiting late hours to go towards Bangalore.
