Its back! You will love this! Most of India is used to it! What is it?
HESCOM yesterday announced a 4 hour load shedding in Belgaum for both domestic and industrial areas. The load shedding will be done in 3 slots; One hour two slots and 2 hour one slot in the evening. Industrial units will face power cuts of two slots two hours at a time.(6 am to 8 am & 6pm to 8pm)
Is this power cut Thanks to the Reddy’s or the present Yedurappa turmoil is not known. May be even we could link this power cut to this as a part of a strategy. North Karnataka saw unprecedential floods for which the rehabilitation work is still on and our MLA’s are enjoying the luxury of 5 star hotels in Hyderabd, Goa and Indore. The people whom we elected for our welfare are busy for their welfare, who cares for the common man.
Scheduled power cut:
Autonagar, Sambra, Sadashiv nagar, Fort road, Cantonment, Vidya Nagar, Bhagya Nagar, Guruprasad Colony, R C Nagar, and Khanapur— 6 am to 7am, 9 am to 10am & 3pm to 5pm.
Viabhav Nagar, malmaruti, Shetty Galli, Khade Bazar, Maruti Galli, City, Peeranwadi, Adarshnagar, Kanbargi, Hanuman Nagar, Shadyri nagar — 7am to 8am, 10am to 11am & 3pm to 5pm.

Happy times are over, Load shedding is back. There has been no official confirmation from HESCOM on this but today power was cut for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening.
So are the power cuts in to stay for long cannot say anything can you. The power cuts are still unofficial and when the same would be official is not known.
BSY is busy fighting for his CM’s chair and the Reddy’s are standing behind to pull it, in this menace what else can you expect. Is this just the beginning?

Yesterday the weavers of Belgaum locked up the HESCOM officials and MLA in the HESCOM office and the results are visible today I guess.
Power play or power cuts have now reduced. The daily 6-7 hour cut will be how much in day is yet to be seen, but it’s a sigh of relief to the citizens.
In the city area there used to be load shedding from 10 am to 1 pm, but today it was from 10 to 11 am only, and hence I am able to update this blog as well on time.
We need to see the whole day and then take a note of the entire amount the power cuts are scheduled. The HESCOM officials stated that there will not be any more un scheduled load shedding in town.
Hope for the best. Pray to God for more rains and this power problem could be solved for the time being at least.

Acute power crisis has hit Belgaum and the state and where city needs 120 MW its hardly getting 44MW.
Minister Eswarappa said that Belgaum will get 20MW more from Wednesday from the central grid. However, is there any surplus in the central grid to provide is yet to be seen?
CM BSY yesterday again cautioned the public at large that the hike in electricity tariff was round the corner and he cannot do anything to stop it. A rise of about 20% to 30% is expected from the next month in the electricity tariff.
The time table declared is for 7 hours where as there are power cuts for up to 10 hours in city and more than 14 hours in rural areas.
Its hardships all the way, kerosene, which was available in the open market for Rs.32 per liter, now costs anything from Rs.35 to 37. This is hitting the businesspersons a lot.
So this is “Government’s work is God’s work”. Those words written on the Vidhan Soudha, Bangalore I had read long time back

Load shedding schedule- the city will face seven hours power cut in the daytime. Following is the timetable of power cuts (restricted to city) — morning 10 to 1 pm and afternoon 2 to 6 pm, there will be no power supply.
To industrial areas — morning 6 to 10 am, afternoon 1 pm to 2 pm and evening 6 to 10 pm there will be no power supply.

Power cuts and protests against it were seen in most parts of north India, where as in the south 6 to 8 hours of power cuts were seen without much resent from the public as yet.
As the monsoon has yet to arrive and faults in the various power transmission units and producing units all over the country are causing acute power cuts all over.
Belgaum is not left either. There is an unscheduled power cut of 6- 7 hours daily from the past 4 days. A common man can understand the problems of power supply companies but the manner in which the same is being implemented is a cause of worry.
There are power cuts in Bangalore and whole of the state in a same manner. When the lights go, you should be sure that they won’t come for an hour at least, even after and if they still don’t come make the time slot for 2 hours.
Particularly in Belgaum the weather is cold enough for the fans and AC’s to be shut down which is saving power but the small business man like a photocopying, internet cafes had to shut down as there is no power. IT companies working in Belgaum also face the same problem and Swapneel of eth1 network solutions said that he had a 12 hour back up for his office which needs to run 24 *7, 365 days and he had to buy a generator to get power back up. He added we cannot do without power, if inverters fail then we have to have backup systems for this as well.
The condition will not improve in the week at least, hope the rains god come and also the power generation plants get back on their feet.
Till all is ok, be primed to face darkness.
