The BUDA has floated a manual tender for the Consultancy services for preparation of the Feasibility report for the construction of proposed Ring road for Belagavi City.

Details of the Proposed ring road –

  • Macche Village NH 4A to Raichur Bachi Road (SH 20) road length 9 kms of 6 lanes (max width of road 50 mtrs)
  • Raichur Bachi Road to Kakti Village NH 4 – road length 10 kms of 4 lanes
  • Gokak Road (SH54) to Bagalkot (SH20) to Alarwad Cross (NH4) – road length 8 kms of 6 lanes

The tender would be opened on 15-04-2016 and then the agency selected would prepare a feasibility report of the above Ring road along with the estimated cost which will also include cost of land acquisition.

An outer ring road in the outer periphery of Belgaum city connecting Hindalaga–Peeranawadi -Halga-Kakati Hindalaga had been under BUDA’s consideration since 2005-06. It is also understood that a technical feasibility study for the project was undertaken in 2006 and the 8.5 km section from Hindalga to Piranawadi (Connection between Vengurla Road and NH-4A,) was considered for being taken up in the Phase I. The tender for awarding the project on BOT basis for 30 years concession was called and the letter of intent was also issued to Chetak Enterprise of Jaipur. However, GoK had not given the in principle approval for project to be developed on BOT-Toll and therefore the project could not be executed.

  1. Please see that the ring road or any other Road is planned such so, that space for planting big trees is available and even in future if road needs to be widened we need have to cut the trees.

If we make our city as a Garden city every investor will pop in their investment

Really waste of time and money.
In tender BUDA forgot about Peernwadi to Halga section. any reason behind this…
