I thank every one for their views mainly Ravi Kiran for his efforts to put online petition, Well it must not stop here , The road map ahead is we need to ask the press perople to publish this info in The hindu , Tarun Bharat and Kannadamma , Times of India , it need to get an Public eye the people of Kurduwadi a small town near Solhapur got BG line conversion the demand for such was put on every auto every Bike and Bus , Awareness is very essential when it reaches to people it becomes a revolt and valid demand , Join hands and make it happen , dont let the pace die till we get next year railway budget and left empty handed

Thanks for correcting Geeta, well I had just read the info about the protest in Tarun Bharat online, Well for everyone else my request is did you all go through the plan which I had published along with Uday in 2007 check the link ( http://mahiuk.googlepages.com/rail.htm ), I am not sure when I am going to visit (India) Belgaum in near future , but if I will get a chance to visit Belgaum I would sure submit the info on Belgaum's much required rail development ,
We Belgaumites need to act more reponsibally , catch hold of district incharge minister , other MP's and MLAs, let this movment not die.
I also bring you all to one more fact the Kottur Harihar rail line was no where inpicture it was surveyed quite long after Belgaum, Dharwad rail line , but this budget it got sanctaioned for construction. Why do we Belgaumites still need to lag????
Gwet on guys need more fire in us , it just cant enough otherwise.

Basavana Bagewadi" is not on the rail route of Miraj – Hubli. It is on the route Sholapur – Hubli (Next to Almatti Station towards Bijapur. The station that is being referred to must be "Bellada Bagewadi"

Just not stand and fight this need to reach our public representnaives first , MP MLA MLC, CII office DC of Belgaum ,can any one staying thier take this step, I tried and have sent this to prevoius DC and even to CM (cm@kar.nic.in) , nothing worked , may be lacked public support from my fellow Belgaumites

It would be a logical step to submit a memorandum signed by all leading Industrials ,Govt officials and MP's appraising Mamata Banerjee (Railway Minister ) ,the following slient features for Belgaum
which may carry weightage :-
1. Belgaum being the second captial of karnataka.
2. Foundry cluster
3. Crankshaft turing units
4. Hydraullic units
5. Automoblie units
6. Agricultural Products.
7.Any other salient features.

This may have to be done before it is too late .

@ veerandra – I think Dharward-Mysore express which used to connect Dharward to Mysore everyday has been discontinued. I ran a search for two weeks and noticed that that train is missing. My best guess is that this train has been withdrawn.

yes belgaum has always been neglected;many trains run upto hubli and dharwad but none has been extended to belgaum;at least the intercity exp extended to dharwad should be extended to belgaum;as also dharwad-mysore exp-this way passengers from all three cities will be benefited;
belgaumites have to stand up and fight or belgaum will be a step child forever!caught in the border row a beutiful city lies neglected!as citizensof this country belgaumites have equal right for development-they must stand and fight!
