The people of Vadgaon started Mangai Devi Yatra about 40-50 years ago on a small scale where all the people put forth their grievances in front of Mangai Devi so that by her blessings all would be blessed and there would be health and prosperity in the year ahead.
Legend says several years ago there was a severe drought and also spread of diseases. To overcome all this the villagers put forth their grievances in front of Mangai Devi. Hence forth this Yatra gained importance.
The view was a complete Jatra view with vendors selling all items on the road en route the temple like toys, balloons, bindis, bangles, dishes,plates, show items and many more.
