  2. Hi uday,

yester day I had posted a comment saying Bengaluru should be used instead of Bangalore,as it is officially declared. But it wasnt published.why? Whats harm in it? Poona is changed as Pune, Bombay as Mumbai , then why not for Bengaluru??

    • Just because it does not sound well…all the changes are tongue twisting!!
& how many are saying these dozen changes..(cities). B’lore is ok.. but rest? Belgaum is against wishes of people here…it remains must remain BELGAON…. Even Kannad people say Belgaon…

      • Hi friend,Nice to see your reply and thanks :).I want to say few words here.
As the name ” Bengaluru” is officially declared and accepted , it has to be put into practice, then only we become familiar and start using in our daily life.live eg’s are Mumbai,Kolkota, pune,Chennai,Navi Mumbai etc. These are put into practice in papers, news,by people as well.and FYI Kannada people also say Bengaluru not Bangalore.
Same explaination holds good for Belgaum as well.I say ” Belagavi “,
