10 foetuses found in river bed in Sankeshwar
10 foetuses have been recovered from the bed of the Hairanyakeshi River on the side of NH4 near Sankeshwar. The shocking discovery was done this morning by a passerby who reported the same to the police. Health officers from Belgaum rushed to the spot and have brought the foetuses to Belgaum for further investigations.
The officials could not disclose if they were male or female foetuses and said it would be possible to confirm the same after further investigations. They are investigating if these were sex selective abortions.
The foetuses were mud cladded with mud and the scene was very horrific.
The police also have registered a case and are investigating the same.
