10 thousand MT storage facility in Auto Nagar
A TEN thousand metric tonne storage facility is being built in auto Nagar just besides the Belgaum exhibition centre by the Karnataka state warehousing corporation.
The structure is almost complete with some minor work like finishing and compound walls is under way.
With a major crop as paddy a storage facility of this kind was the need of the hour and this will definitely help the storage of food grains.
The Karnataka state warehousing corporation has about 109 storage facilities of this nature all over the state and mainly provide scientific storage facilities for food grains, pulses, oil seeds etc. The storage facility is utilized by local farmers, traders, merchants bulk depositors like FCI etc.
