After stone pelting between members belonging to different communities late on Sunday night police have arrested 29 people from Khadak Galli and Ghee Galli.
Superintendent of Police Dr.Chandragupta and other senior officials rushed to the spot with additional forces and brought the situation under control.
All have been booked under section 147. 148 .353. 333. 307. 427 of the IPC and also Karnataka destruction and Loss of property act at the Market police station.
SP Chandragupta has appealed to the people to maintain peace and has asked citizens not to gather in small alleys in groups.
