The Belagavi Bar Association have decided to intensify their agitation for Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT) and have given call for Belagavi Bandh on December 3. The association has boycotted work since November 17 and has been agitating in various forms for the demand of KAT bench in the city.
On Saturday Member of Parliament Prakash Hukkeri visited the advocates on agitation and extended his support to the lawyers demand.
Nearly 30,000 cases are pending in the KAT out of which 15,000 are related to the district hence the association says their demand is apt and must be adhered to.
