After the landslide at Amboli Ghat the road was made open yesterday upto 6pm for vehicular traffic. The work on clearing the debris is still on and the fear of landslides again cannot be denied.
As of now the road has been cleared and will be open from 6am to 6pm.
The met department has fore-casted heavy to very heavy rains in the Konkan area and heavy rains can cause the landslides again.
The PWD should look into the problem at large and solve the problem. Last year after the landslide had occurred and when ministers, officials had been to see the spot a huge landslide occurred after which a wall was built which was of no use.
