Member of Parliament Suresh Angadi has written a letter to the minister if Human resources Development, pleading her to establish the IIT at Belagavi.

In an earlier letter written by Smiriti Irani, HRD minister in April, she had said the final decision on the location of the IIT is taken on the basis of the report of the State selection committee.

With reference to the same letter Suresh Angadi in his letter dated May 2, 2015 has asked that IIT should be established at Belagavi and has a good rail, air connectivity.
Belagavi is referred as the second capital and is also and education hub.

Now the only question is this attempt made by our MP too late and attempt.

  1. Our beloved MP is very busy person, so busy that he cannot even meet the minister who happens to be of his own party. Also he is establishing international school, medical college etc. They require lot of time. IIT is silly matter for him. It is waste of his precious time. All know this is last chance as an MP next time no way so he wants to build his own empire an retire. Public service can wait for the next MP. Truly achhe din!

  3. Till now he was sleeping and suddenly when the govt has decided other districts for IIT , he has started writing letters which of no use…
Mr Angadi is too busy developing his own college …
Until we get good , loyal and proactive Ministers at belgaum it will not improve , belgaum will remain as residential District atlast.
What if we have good education HUB unless it is not utilized locally, many belgaumites have migrated to Bangalore, Pune, Hyd, Chennai , Mumbai for IT jobs they could have done it before itself all these things but i think they are not that much interested ..and i donno why Suresh Angadi have got re elected even after performing so bad and not meeting the expectations of belgaumites…

  4. Establishing IIT is a joke these days , all politicians want to just establish themselves in the name of educational institutions. Firstly try to improve the quality of education from already existing colleges and then dream big!!
