Basic Training in Lab Techniques at KLE University

The KLE Society and KLE University have commenced a series of initiatives to provide students the 
much need exposure to industrial practices. In this attempt to bridge the gap between academics
and the needs of industry, a series of training interventions have been commenced across various 
institutions.

A Program “Basic Training in Laboratory Techniques” for students of KLE MPharm has been initiated on 18th Nov 2013 at the Dr. Prabhakar Kore Basic Science Research Centre (BSRC) at the KLE
University campus. Dr. Alka Kale, Principal, V.K Institute of Dental Sciences, Administrative Incharge 
at BSRC who inaugurated the program, addressed the participants and highlighted the need for a comprehensive understanding of Advanced Techniques in Laboratory Research and the facilities provided at BSRC. Dr. Sunil Jalalpure, Deputy Director BSRC welcomed the students and stressed on the relevance of fortifying academic credentials by relevant practical exposure. Prof. Sameer Majli, Placement Training Officer at KLE Society and Dr. Jadhav, Research Scientist, BSRC, outlined the details of the said program. Dr. Bhat, Dr. Mishra and other scientists at BSRC and other researchers at BSRC were present. 

In due course of time, BSRC will commence a course “Advance Training in Laboratory Techniques” for the same batch and the benefits of both the basic and advanced training courses will be  extended to students of Pharmacy, Dental, Medicine, BSc, BE(Biotechnology) and other relevant courses, both within and beyond KLE.
