BJP sources have said that keeping in mind the sentiment of giving a candidate from within the state the BJP leadership is most likely to renominate Dr.Prabhakar Kore for the Rajyasbaha from Karnataka.
Four seats from Karnataka are falling vacant this month – former Union minister SM Krishna, AICC General Secretary BK Hariprasad , BJP’s Justice Rama Jois and Kore are retiring this month.
Kore was also a BJP national executive committee member.
He was elected to Rajyasabha in April 1990-1996
