  1. This is a welcome initiative. On other note, If AirAsia, can provide Cochin-Bangalore for Rs 500/- then why cannot the airline companies launch short distance services like Belgaum – Hubli, Belgaum – Kolhapur, Belgaum – Goa etc. It would be viable even if they charge Rs 250 to Rs 300 per journey if they launch 15 to 20 seater flights or even better launch choppers which can ferry 10 to 15 passengers. With choppers should be very convenient as it does not need a dedicated runway and can operate from a open space even in the center of the city 🙂 I know this idea seems UN-realistic but can be worked upon!

    • Hi Venkatesh,

One can reach either of these locations in lesser time as the time taken to reach the airport, check-in, flight time, etc… will be much lesser, makes no sense having short distance services.
