Citizens are warned not to upload,re send(forward), like malicious or misleading images, videos & messages through any medium with a view to hurt religious sentiments. In a meeting held at the IGP office, IGP Bhaskar Rao issued a message to be circulated as a part of the awareness campaign on the better use of social media like Facebook and WhatsApp.
In the past 10 days there has been some malicious messages and images being shared which have caused tension in the city and all this has occurred because of the messages shared on the medium. With actual no control on Whatsapp the only way these things can be got into control is by creating an awareness amongst the citizens that by doing this they could be punished under the various acts.
