Sandeep Patil (28) a resident of Uchagaon was kidnapped from the bus stop at Uchgaon on Monday at 11 am by a gang of 5 people and a ransom of 30 Lakhs was asked.
The family informed the police who traced the calls of Patil and this was known to the kidnappers who eventually left sandeep near the Belagavi fort in Tuesday afternoon.
He was assaulted while he was kidnapped and hence is undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
