The inaugural function of Phase I of the “Training Program for Community Radio Program Developers” was held on 11th April 2014 at the VENUDHWANI studio at KLE University Campus, Nehru Nagar, Belgaum.
Shri.AvinashPotdar was the Chief Guest of the function which was presided over by Prof. Kokate, Vice Chancellor, KLE University. Dr. V.D.Patil, Registrar, KLE University, Dr. Sunil Jalalpure, Coordinator Venudhwani, Mr. Abdul Rahman Pasha, Community Radio Consultant, Prof.Sameer Majli and other members associated with Venudhwani were present.
Speaking on the occasion, ShriAvinashPotdar expressed satisfaction over the establishment of Venudhwani and highlighted the role of radio in education and community welfare.
Prof. Kokate in his address expressed the commitment of KLE to making Venudhwani the ‘Voice of Belagavi’ and invited people from all walks of life to contribute to the effort.
Venudhwani, a non-commercial Community Radio Station will commence operations around June 2014. A training program is being conducted by Mr. A.R.Pasha at Venudhwani Studio in two phases in order to train and recruit Program Developers. Twenty aspirants participating in the training are being provided training in Concept Development, Program Planning & Execution, Technical aspects of recording and transmission and other related aspects. Phase II which involves actual program development will be conducted in the last week of April 2014.
