For most bus commuters, there is no escape. Due to lack of proper bus shelters in several places, they have no option but to brave the blazing sun.
And about 10 new bus shelters have been installed and one is yet to be due to some legal issue in Kanbargi.
Worst part why not have them at places of urgent need.
One new bus shelter has been put up near Gogte circle but the need was more on the opposite side near Suryakant park instead near to Desai Building.
Commuters coming from Railway station and also going to have to alight at Gogte circle but there is no bus shelter, the one which existed for years was demolished during the Vishwa Kannada sammelana for reasons unknown.
See at RPD, students have to wait under the sun waiting for the bus, but the authorities have never earmarked bus shelters at the most wanted locations.
The one at Basveshwar circle was also brought down recently during the road widening.
Even as commuters complain of shortage of bus shelters, in some areas there is a surplus.
So if there are issues with the site why dont the authorities shift the bus shelter to the most needed locations rather than the ones finalized in the auction or tender.
