“Durga” on the road for safety of women

For the safety of women the Belgaum district police have launched 2 special “DURGA” police vans which will keep a 24 x 7 vigil on the road romeos and ensure safety for the women.

Each van will consist of 1 ASI, 2 WPC, 1 PC Driver and the vans will navigate near schools, colleges, Women’s hostel, hospitals and also places where crimes on women have taken place earlier.

The van will also have first aid kit, stretcher, torch, Water, GPS, Mobile and Wireless kit.
