G.D.David Foundation was inaugurated on the second death anniversary of Late Shri Guruprem David, the former principal of St.Mary’s High School, Belagavi. The inauguration took place amidst a huge gathering of people comprising of alumni, industrialists, academicians, students and other well-wishers. The inauguration ceremony took place at Trinity Towers, Near 3rd Railway Gate, Tilakwadi. Speaking on the occasion, many past students of David Sir shared their experiences of true learning and guidance and also wished a great future for the foundation.
The foundation unveiled its future plans of spreading the education amongst different strata’s of the society in the subjects of commerce and management. Trinity College of Commerce would be functional under the aegis of this foundation and would offer courses like Pre-University in commerce, Bachelors of Commerce and Bachelors of Business Administration from the coming academic year. The foundation also unveiled the first finishing school for Belgaum named Trinity Finishing School, which would run various courses aimed at grooming the students toward skill based learning and also provide career opportunities across various domains of industry.
