The winter session of the Karnataka Assembly would begin from December 9. This time only Lunch would be provided to the MLA’s,MLCs and staff. Dinner will have to be taken care by themselves. Also no private vehicles would be provided as provided during the previous sessions so that there is a cap on the expenses.
The Suvarna Vidhana Soudha will have three tiers of heightened security and electronic surveillance in the wake of a series of protests planned there. Winter session of the legislature starting from December 9 at Belagavi Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. 5000 police officials will be in the city during the 10 day session to overlook the security.
The BJP is planning various protests in the city near the SVS with an estimated 1 lakh people coming for the protest, the district administration might ask for more police force as well.
About 10 crores were spent last year on the session.
