Corporation commissioner Sashidhar Kurer who inspected various roads said that a Hawkers zone would be on the road Nextto Kaveri Cold Drinks and one more behind Chitra Theater in the heart of the city.
It may be recalled that Traders in Maruti Galli have come together and are not allowing any hawker to enter the street.
Commissioner Kurer also instructed the shops in Basement on Kirloskar road to be closed and parking be made available.
The officials from City corporation yesterday revisited Ganpat Galli, kirloskar road, Maruti Galli, Chavi Market, Kadolkar Galli, Hus Talkies road and inspected the encroachments on the road.
In Maruti Galli as well officials told that the basement are for parking only and have to be utilized for the same and not for doing business.
It is however note bearing that the officials have not yet cleared Ganpat Galli where the number of hawkers is the highest.
It is only torchering normal people, Corporation doesnt have courage to construct a multistoried parking facility in Khanjar Galli (laxmi market) and Bapat galli (present congested parking space).
If corporation commissioner is real gentlemen, then plan for multistoreyed parking facility at various locations within city. to our knowledge, this will never happen.
