After a lot of hue and cry over the implementation of the BAN on the entry of heavy vehicles in the city, now the Heavy vehicles (HTV) will have to divert after Khanapur and reach Hire Bagewadi via Dodahosur, Rumewadi, Parishwad.
The District administration which could not restrict entry of heavy heavy vehicles during morning and afternoon hours as a measure to prevent increasing accidents in the city from Oct.1 has now announced a new date of October 15, 2015 for its strict implementation. But for some or the other reason the same was not implemented. 
But now Traffic officials Javed Mushapiri and ASP Shankar Marihal have acted upon this and found this way out to divert HTV traffic from city limits.
HTV’s coming from Goa from Ramnagar will detour 1 km after Khanapur via Parishwad to reach NH 4 at Hire Bagewadi. Vehicles going to Kolhapur also will have to take this route which is about 15 kms extra.
HTV’s coming from Chorla ghat will be have to detour to Khanapur and take the same Parishwad route to reach NH 4.
This is a temporary arrangement as of now and after seeing the response and feasibility the same would made permanent.
