Indian educated youth are the strength of the nation – Mridula Sinha Governor of Goa

Indian educated youth are the strength of the nation and today’s youth are compassionate and sensitive to the issues engulfing the society’ said Smt. Mridula Sinha, Her Excellency, Governor of Goa. She was delivering the Convocation Address as Chief Guest at the 8th Convocation of the KLE Academy of Higher Education & Research (KLE Deemed University) after awarding degrees and gold medals to the students of various streams of health science.

The present life is fast changing and has become competitive. Youth must imbibe the knowledge, skill and attitude to face the challenges and overcome the turmoil said Smt. Sinha. The education that you imbibed in this higher learning center will be of immense use and act as a tool to serve the society and humanity. She called on the parents the success behind your children is due to your persistent efforts, support and guidance.

convoShe advised the youth that, a time has come to take care of the parents who have made it possible to achieve in academics and also transferred rich cultural heritage. The western countries may boast of latest technologies but the strength of India lies in its rich cultural and traditional values which unite the whole world said the Chief Guest. Though it is a milestone in the life of the students to have gold medals for their academic achievements, it is equally important to develop compassionate heart for the welfare of the needy community. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest said the KLE Society has grown leaps and bounds over a period of time and has been playing a pivotal role in imparting education and providing healthcare services at affordable cost by providing state-of-art facilities. The need of present education is sustainable development of higher education, industry-institute interface, building values of great responsibilities and sense of national integrity are driving force of the present education system. The Chief Guest also said education is indeed an ever-evolving process of learning which enables us to broaden our mental horizon and perspective.

Dr. Vivek A.Saoji, Vice-Chancellor presented brief report on the attainments of the KLE Deemed University. Speaking on the occasion, he said because of the dedicated efforts and commitment by the faculty and staff, the KLE Deemed University has been able to get unique accreditations with notable grades both at national and international levels. The KLE Deemed University has also signed Memorandum of Understanding with reputed international universities like Thomas Jefferson University, USA, etc.

In this Convocation, 1290 candidates were awarded Degrees which include 18 Ph.D, 12 Post-doctoral, 348 Post-Graduate, 754 Under-Graduate, 121 PG Diploma, 28 Certificate Courses, 6 Fellowship Programs and 3 Diplomas.

Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Chancellor, Dr. V.D.Patil, Dr. C.K.Kokate, Dr. M.S.Ugale, Dr. B.S.Kodkany, Dr. N.S.Mahantashetti, Dr. Alka Kale, Dr. V.G.Jamakhandi, Dr. B.M.Patil, Dr. B.S.Prasad, Dr. Sanjiv Kumar, Dr. Sudha Raddi, Dr. V.A.Kothiwale, Dr. Jyoti Nagmoti, Dr. K.M.Keluskar, Dr. Sunil Jalalpure, members of the Board of Management of KLE Society, KLE Deemed University were present on this occasion.
