belgaum tata crucibleThe Hubli debut of Tata Crucible which is now happening across 34 cities of which this is one of the new additions witnessed a great start, given that the region was having a business quiz of this scale for the first time.

Keen to curious quizzers from not just Hubli but Belgaum, Davangere and even Bellary were part of the quiz. After a 20 question prelim the following teams made it to the final.

The final witnessed a very absorbing battle between the teams on stage as most of the teams were very closely placed at the end of the first couple of rounds. Tension, Caution and Aggression were all seen on display as the supporters from the respective colleges egged the teams along. Ace quizmaster Pickbrain was at his professional best as he went about showing Hubli what a national level quiz was all about.

It all went down to the final questions and Pickbrain rightly pointed out ‘It seems like a T-20 match’ as it was a final ball finish with KLE Belgaum winning by a slender 5 point margin while the second place was settled on a tie breaker between SDM and KLS, which the former won.

KLE Belgaum represented by Sanket Jadhav and Raghavendra K will long remember the quiz as they emerged the first ever champions from Hubli and will now proudly represent the city in the zonals for south India.

The guest of honour was Mr.Ramandeep Choudhury (IAS) Commissioner Hubli Dharwad Muncipal Corporation. He appreciated the teams and urged them to make a mark for themselves and the region.
