Medical director of KLEs Dr.Prabhakar Kore hospital has issued a clarification with regards to the death of industrialist Girish Maliye. Hospital has denied any fault or lack of service for timely treatment of late Girish.
The written clarification states –

After checking the CCTV footage it is seen that the driver got down from the Ambulance and spoke to an attendant for 2-3 minutes and then went away with the ambulance. Even before the ward boy could call the Doctor the ambulance went away. As the driver of the 108 ambulance did not meet the Doctor it cannot be said that there was any delay in treatment of the patient.

In case of emergency, there is no question of money, as treatment is of utmost importance.

  1. The response from Hospital was expected. They have found a scape goat by putting blame on 108 Ambulance drivers, Who helped and brought Girish N Maliye to the KLE Hospital. KLE Hospital Totally denied and it may be 2 or 3 minutes the ambulance guy waited. A ward boy has told my Bro-In-Law that he cannot be admitted as he is alone. I am really shocked, how people of Belgaum are still quiet. KLE hospital License should be cancelled. They believe, with the muscle and money power, they can victimize poor people. I appeal to the People of Belgaum to carry out a massive protest and make sure the culprits from KLE hospital are booked and penalized for the heinous crime, which caused my Brother-In-Laws Death. If people of Belgaum keep quiet today, then they have to suffer for lifetime. KLE is a black mark to the society. On 31-OCT-2014. MR.M V Jali assured in writing, they will book and ensure legal action against the culprits. But today, they have done a U turn. PEOPLE of BELGAUM WAKE UP and help yourselves to get better attention to HUMAN LIFE.

    • Life is life and once gone cannot be brought back. My fullest sympathy towards G Maliye family. Ambulance driver should speak to a Doctor or Nurse, not with a ward boy. How can he take a word from a ward boy and believe it. Common ambulance crew wake-up and do your job properly. Yes you are absolutely right people need to wake up and be more knowledgeable. Life is the biggest asset in our life. If you need your work to be done, then speak to a right person. I’m talking in general. But in this particular incident ambulance driver should have spoken to medical team instead of a ward-boy. RIP GIRISH N MALIYE.

  2. Hi Shiv, ward boy communicated what was said to him by CMO. Even GIRISH N Maliye has requested to treat him. But KLE doctors defied to admit him. So, I appeal to the people of Belgaum to carry out massive protest, so that Culprits of KLE gets punished.

  4. My condolences to the Maliye family. No words expressed can be fill the loss that the family has experienced. Please do not take this as an opportunity for instigating, bashing someone or some institute for negligence. How can one suggest that there should be a dharna or the license should be cancelled without knowing the implications of such actions. Do they have an alternative? What will happen to citizens who on day-to-day depend on these institution for healthcare. I know that my family is very much dependent on the healthcare services provided here. They do not have to travel to Hubli or Pune for these services. Belgaum has always suffered because of these uncalculated actions.

    • Hi Mr. Belgumite,

Hospital staff has totally denied to Admint Girish N Maliye when he went to the hospital in 108 Ambulance in a serious condition. If, hospital like these is closed, no loss to the public, where there is no value to Human Life. What is the use of such hospital. Shame of such instituion. If the same thing would have occured in UK or US. the hospital had to pay huge penalty, there are several instance, where the licences of the doctors and Hospitals have been cancelled. In India all of these institutions pay bribe and corrupt the system… End of the Day AAM ADMI need to suffer…

  5. People of Belagavi let me bring you one picture in front of you that 108 Ambulance driver have a deal with the private hospitals if they drop a patient to a private hospital they are paid 1000rs .. i still do not know weather the person was taken inside the kle hospital and then later shifted to other hospital and brought back to KLE when critical..

If the patient was taken inside the KLE hospital and then the emergency treatment was NOT done Then we can BLAME the KLE.. but not without shifting the patient inside the hospital..

KLE Hospital Totally denied and it may be 2 or 3 minutes the ambulance guy waited. A ward boy has told the ambulance driver and Girish that he cannot be admitted as he is alone( Ward boy was informed to convey the same from inside the Accident and Emergency Reception counter). A prominent Lawyer and honest Lawyer need to take this up and help to get Justice not only to Girish’s SOUL, But to the entire SOCIETY. I HOPE, we still have good and honest lawyers in the society, who will help to nab those culprits.
