KLS Gogte Institute of Technology gets New Age Incubation Center by Government of Karnataka

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology has been identified as Karnataka New Age Incubation Network for Entrepreneurship Development and Mentoring by Government of Karnataka. This programme would encourage entrepreneurs by giving first preference to students, research scholars and alumni of KLS Gogte Institute of Technology.
The programme will cater to the projects that solve local problems and find solutions to local needs. Funding assistance will be provided for this. The selection of these centers has been done by high power committee headed by Mr. TV Mohandas Pai, Mr. B. V. Naidu, Mr. Sudeep Banarjee and other prominent IT Industrialist. Funding an amount of upto 40 lakhs will be provided to the center.

Innovative project proposals from the students and alumni of KLS Gogte Institute of Technology and locals will be funded to an extent of 3 lakhs. The focus will be more on building an ecosystem fostering entrepreneurship rather than building physical space and purchasing expensive equipments. Through this, skill development programs will be taken up in association with Industry for training un-employed youth in basic IT / BPO / Telcom / ESDM etc., KLS Gogte Institute of Technology is one amongst 9 colleges selected throughout the state as Information and communication technology incubation center. Students, research scholars and alumni of KLS Gogte Institute of Technology and local people from Belgaum District are invited to be a part of Information and communication technology incubation center by submitting their proposals and make the best use of facilities provided under this scheme.
