Maratha Kranti Morcha will be held on Feb 16 in Belagavi


MARATHA KRANTI MORCHA which are series of silent demonstrations by the Maratha community. The first silent march (demonstrations) happened in Aurangabad on 9th of August 2016. It was a reaction to Kopardi rape and murder of a teenager on 13th July 2016. The striking feature of these demonstrations is no political party, leader or organization is at the forefront of these marches.

Typically people gather at at a starting place on a pre-decided date and time. Then walk silently to the district headquarter or a city center where a memorandum of demands is handed over to district administration by youth.

The Maratha Kranti Morcha in Belagavi will be held on February 16, 2017. Permission was given to the organisers by the police and also the route of the march was reviewed by DCP Amarnath Reddy and Traffic Police.

A delegation of 5 girls from the Maratha Kranti Morcha will submit a memorandum of requests to the Deputy Commissioner.

Demands-
Punishment to culprits in Kopardi rape and murder case.

Reservation in education and government jobs.

Amendment in Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 to stop its misuse.

Route of the March
Start – Shivaji Garden, SPM Road, Kapileshwar overbridge, Patil Galli, Hemu Kalani Circle, Tilak Circle, Ramlingkhind Galli, Baswan Galli, Maruti Galli, Hutatma Circle, Ramdev galli, Samadevi Galli, Rajendra Prasad Circle and will culminate at Dharmveer Sambhaji Circle.

  1. The first and most important demand of the maratha kranti morcha held in the city of belgaum is to solve the problem regarding Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute ! In this morcha 7 to 8 LAKH PEOPLES were participated!
