R. Roshan Baig, Minister for Urban Development, Haj and Wakf is on a visit of Belagavi and he is having marathon meetings with Civic authorities.
The minister took to task the officials of BUDA and city corporation over the construction over a open stormwater drain in a prime locality.
Minister also sought a detailed report on encroachment on footpath on Double Road Stretch from NCC office Circle to Hanuman Nagar Circle. The pavement has been turned into mini-gardens by residents, including sitting Congress MLA Feroz N. Sait.
Speaking to the media Mr.Baig said that the owner could be anyone but rules have to be followed, if there is fault by the officials even they will have to pay the price then.
Earlier in the day the Past Presidents Council Chamber of Commerce met Minister For submitted the memorandum . Even though the City is 2nd Capital and smart city, the citizens are deprived of the basic infrastructure, amenities and facilities.
Ring Road issue, harsh penalty provision for SAS Tax were also brought to the notice of the minister along with the issue of Passport seva kendra and the delay in sending of the resolution passed by the city Corporation.
