Today MLA Belagavi South Sambhaji Patil got a call from Australia + 6666874044 and the caller identified himself as Ravi Pujar Originally from Mangalore.
He asked Patil to help him financially as he had helped others and also took name of Bandiwadekar of Naganwadi.
Speaking to the media Patil said that he did receive the call and the caller did ask him to help him financially. But he did not give any threat but the tone was very rough and indicated the same.
Mr.Patil has given a written complaint about the same to the Commissioner of police and also CM and Home minister.
Its a very sad incident that MLA receiving an extortion call… but Mr Patil, i would like to focus one point, please get out of your politics and join hands in bringing IIT to Belgaum, which has been sanctioned to Karnataka in this budget. This will help our city a lot. I saw our MP, Mr Angadi and previously Mr Abhay Patil also struggled to this cause, but I do not see you anywhere in the news. This is my personal request, if you want Belgaum to be prosperous and developed, please at least do this one job of bringing IIT to Belgaum.
Guys I want you comments and suggestions on this…. I follow this site daily and we all discuss many national level things, but this is regarding the fate of our own city, Belgaum/Belagavi. If you all want development of this city, please request or South MLA to try for IIT, otherwise we are going to lose another major development project to Hubli/Dharwad.
