In the general body meeting of the City corporation held on Saturday, it was decided not to include Nilaji, Mutaga, Benkanhalli as part of the city corporation limits as of now.
Surprisingly not even one of the 58 elected councillors spoke about the recent demolition work undertaken by the Commissioner for road widening. The elected representatives who are elected by the people never even thought to utter a word about compensation for those who lose their property.
MLA Sambhaji Patil made a suggestion of a Fly over from Gandhi nagar to Peeranwadi via RPD. Also the proposal for the ring road would be sent to the state govt again.
A statue of Gautam Buddha would be installed at the Fort lake while the statute of Swami Vivekakanda would be installed at Vaccine Depot.
The new statute if Basveshwara would be installed at Basveshwar circle.
MLA Saith alleged that Land mafia was acquiring open spaces and selling land in Mal Maruti. A resolution was passed that IIT should be established in the city and the resolution will be sent to the CM.
Also a high Flag post will be set up at Fort lake as per the suggestion made last time by MLA Saith.
