No relief still for people affected by Water pipeline burst

Photo of author

The main water pipeline from Hidkal dam which supplies drinking water to Belagavi ruptured near Muchandi Village at about 2 am on May 4  leaving two houses completely damaged and another two damaged nominally.

muchandiEven a month after they lost their houses after the incident three families have not received the compensation from the government yet and are now living in rented houses.

KUWSDB, PWD and agriculture departments, who visited the village to assess the damage next day, had assured to provide compensation to the families but as of now the KUWSDB is awaiting a report of the PWD and may be the PWD is awaiting a report from the Water board.

Satish Jarakiholi had also assured a proper rehabilitation to the affected families besides giving Rs 10,000 each to them. But the affected persons still find no relief coming for them.

  1. All were waiting for cabinet reshuffle… There was competition for ministership therefore this was ignored… Now that Satish Jarkhiholi is dropped… His promises you can understand will be of what value…..
All Politicians are battling with greed for power for self…
