Normalcy is back

After two days of communal violence and stone pelting the city of Belgaum had a sigh of relief and was back to normalcy.

No untoward incident was reported since Thursday night. Preventive arrests were made by police from the affected areas such as Chavat Galli, Khadak Galli, Darbar Galli.

Police presence can be still seen in the affected areas but life is very normal elsewhere.
People are back to normal business even though the flow of visitors to the city has gone down significantly. Each day there are thousands of people from Goa, Gokak, Bailhongal, Bagalkot and neighboring villages who come up to the city but today they preferred not to come. However local businessmen expect better business on Saturday the Bazar day in Belgaum.
