Various farmers’ organisations to pressure the centre in general and Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal to deliver early and judicious award on sharing of the Mahadayi river and clearance for implementation of the long-pending Kalasa-Banduri Nala diversion projects have called for a bandh in 4 districts on Saturday.
After protests early morning near the bus stand, Belagavi division of the NWKRTC suspended its bus services in the city and on inter-district and inter-state routes following a protest by farmers.
Bus services are likely to be restored only after 4 pm.
I don’t know why government involving in this and showing that its public strike.
