Rajyotsava Day celebrations in Belgaum/Belagavi on November 1 were significant after the official renaming.
The celebrations began at the sprawling C.P.Ed. ground with special prayers to Sree Bhuvaneshri Devi and unfurling of the national flag. A cultural procession involving tableaux and folk troupes depicting socio-cultural and historical facets of the State, and development and welfare programmes of the government was also a treat.
