The Dharwad bench of the Karnataka High court recently ordered that the Shani temple to Kapileshwar road be kept as 45 feet only and cannot be widened to 80 feet.
The residents of the area had got news that after the Railway over bridge work is over the City corporation was planning to Widen the said road to 80 feet as per the New CDP plan.
The Court in its decision said the road cannot be widened after the RoB work and at the same time none of the properties can be damaged in any manner what so ever during building of the RoB.
46 residents had approached the High court in 2015 with their plea against the road widening.
