After the civic authorities in action against encroachment, the cops have now decided to make the streets cleared for traffic and smooth flow of vehicles.
Speaking at a press conference Police Commissioner S Ravi said, city’s road will be made pedestrian friendly. Also a main cause of traffic jams is the movement of heavy vehicles in the city. An alternative road for heavy traffic would be made which will ease the traffic woes to some extent.
Also a meeting has been called with all institutions with regards to parking of vehicles of its students and staff. It will be very apt for parking facility to be provided within the premises it self.
If these institutions do not respond even fines will be imposed.
How ever we did not hear about the encroachments by hawkers on the street. Hope the police looks at this angle.

What about the ring road.? Only a ring road can help in decongesting the city roads..
