Thieves nabbed
Seven thieves involved in various robberies were arrested by the police. The loot included 224 grams gold ornaments, 6.5 kg silver and Rs 25,000 cash.
Durgappa Shivappa Konchikoravar and Ramachari Erappa Gaddi, who were said to be involved in six cases of theft, were arrested on July 27 said Superintendent of Police Sandeep Patil. Both the accused confessed to have been involved in thefts in the Market, Malmaruti, APMC, Belgaum Rural and Chikkodi police station limits.
In another case, Mohammed Haneef Anwar Shaikh and Rafeeque Qutubuddin Syed were arrested by the Khade Bazaar Police. The Belgaum Rural Police arrested Aslam Mohammed Gous, Nazeem Allauddin Mulla and Atiq Mohammed Patel.
