Rajashri Sunil Khot (32) was allegedly burnt alive by two people at Nippani on Wednesday. The accused have been identified as Babasab Laxman Hadikar (35) and Ramdas Dhondiba Khot (26), both residents of Kagal.

Rajashri came to Nippani with Ramdas and they asked Hadikar to meet them near the APMC market. Soon a quarrel broke out between them.

Police said Rajashri was married to Sunil Khot, but was allegedly having an affair with Hadikar for the past three to four years. Hadikar used to run a hotel at Kagal and Rajashri was working there. Soon, Sunil found out about the affair and objected to it. Subsequently, Hadikar left Kagal and started a hotel in Nippani.

Some witnesses told the police that Rajashri poured petrol and set herself ablaze because Hadikar refused to live with her. Ramdas and Hadikar have given similar statements to the police.
