The special squad of the district police has arrested another person allegedly engaged in luring youths to create communal disturbances.

According to Superintendent of Police Hemant Nimbalkar here on Wednesday, acting on a tip off, the police arrested 21-year-old Nasir Liyaquat Ali Patel at his house in Azam Nagar under A.P.M.C. police station limits in the city at 8.15 a.m. on Tuesday and seized a portable “hard disk” containing visuals with tips on manufacture and use of explosive devices.

The police have learnt about links of the accused with one Dr. Manroz of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).

Mr. Nimbalkar said the seizure included provocative printed material, stills and video clips on various devices used in the manufacture of explosives and techniques, besides clippings on arms training.

The suspect was alleged to have been sharing the information with a few of his friends so as to induce them to create communal disturbances.
