Jayashree was attacked by her in laws in a property dispute and now she faces rejection from the society because of her disfigurement. Her dreams weren’t big, she wanted a normal life, she wanted just love not scars.

Life after the attack for Jayashree Bandivaddar has been very miserable for her as she lost eyesight and her husband left her, and they took away all her property except one small house in KK Koppa village four years ago. During a scuffle with the family members when she resisted the taking away of the property she was attacked with acid on her face. A complaint was made and culprit were in jail for a couple of months but then were released as she withdrew the case as she had no support and money to defend her then.
Mahant Vakkund a social activist spoke to an ophthalmologist who said her vision can be brought back. She has a helpless mother and her two kids who can show sympathy but can’t do anything more. Currently she is undergoing treatment at KLE’s hospital of Belagavi.
