Belgaum division emerge champions at state level Dasara Table Tennis

Belgaum division emerged Champions in (Womens) Table Tennis event in the State Level Dasara Sports held at Rotary High School Hall, Mysore. 5 Division Teams from Karnataka state had participated in the event. Belgaum Table Tennis

Academy team Representing Belgaum District in the event won all their 4 matches and remained unbeaten in the event, Winning the Gold Medal. Bangalore Urban were the Runners Up and Mysore finished in 3rd Place. The Winners Belgaum Divisional team has qualified for Nationals to be held at Chennai.

In the First Match Belgaum Division defeated Bangalore Rural by a margin of 3 – 1, In the second match they defeated Gulbarga by 3 – 2 , in third match they beat Bangalore Urban by 3 – 1 and fourth and deciding match Belgaum Division defeated Mysore division by a margin of 3 – 1.
In the important match against Mysore Maitreyee Bailoor defeated Riddhi Rohit by 11-9,11-8,19-17 but in second match Akshata Malshet lost to Madhurya M in a hard fought match by 8-11,11-9,11-7,9-11,9-11. In third match Sahana Kulkarni defeated Soumya Arsa 11-6,11-6,8-11,11-6. And then in reverse match Maitreyee Bailoor Defeated Madhurya M by 12-14,11-9,11-6,11-9.

 Gold Medal winner Belgaum division team included Captain Maitreyee Bailoor, Akshata Malshet, Mrunalini Biranje, Sahana Kulkarni, Meghana Biranje & Divya Bhatkande.

The Winning team was coached by Senior Coach Mr Sangam Bailoor.
