Belgaum Sports Club to face Sairaj Yuvraj Warriors in summit clash of BCL

Belgaum Sports outplayed Gold Museum Union Gymkhana on all the fronts and defeated them by 44 runs to enter the finals of P D Dhotre Foundation Belgaum Champions League Cricket tournament organized by Bhatkande Sports Academy at Union Gymkhana. Belgaum Sports will take on The unbeaten side in BCL Sairaj Yuvraj Warriors in the Finals to be held on Sunday at 10.30 AM.

Belgaum Sports Club had included current Ranji Player Ronit More in their side today. Batting first after winning the toss Belgaum Sports Club amassed 176 runs for all out in 25 overs thanks to fantastic batting display by Ganesh Kangralkar who scored 78 runs in 62 balls with 4 towering sixes and 6 boundaries. Belgaum Sports were tottering at one stage at 42 for the loss of 3 wickets, but Ganesh Kangralkar in the company of youngster Swapnil Yelwe had a partnership of 76 runs for the 4th wicket giving some solidarity to the score. Swapnil scored 35 runs with 5 hits to the fence. Ronit More contributed 22 runs, Girish Nadkarni scored 17 and Rohan Kadam scored 15 runs. Belgaum Spots Club lost their last 5 wickets in the last over of the innings. Abhishek Sharma picked up 5 wickets, deepak Narvekar, Wasim Hudli and Ramling Patil picked up one wicket each.

In reply Gold Museum Union Gymkhana’s innings was in tatters as they lost Darshan Patil, Prashant Lainder and experienced Deepak Chougule when the score was just 3. From this situation Gold Museum team could not recover and soon they were tottering at 64 for 9 wickets, but the last wicket pair of Wasim Hudali and Abhishek Sharma put on an partnership of 68 runs and saved gymkhana from blushes of getting bundled out for a lowest total in BCL. Wasim Hudali scored unbeaten 40 with 2 fours and one six, Abhishek Sharma scored 26 runs. Skipper Ramling Patil played some good strokes in his knock of 23 with 5 boundaries, but he was the first victim of Ronit More. Skipper Tejas Pawar picked up 3 wickets, Ranji Player Ronit More bowled 2 overs and picked up 2 wickets giving away only a single run with one maiden. Swapnil Yelwe picked up 2, Nizamuddin Londewale, Sangam Patil and Noel D’Mello picked up one wicket each.

Ganesh Kangralkar was declared the Man of the Match.
