Blindman’s Car Rally held in Belgaum

bmr BelgaumOver 60 blind men naviagted cars through the lanes and roads of Belgaum for the first time today as part of the unique Blindman’s Car Rally’ organised by Round Table India (RTI) in association with Belgaum Royals Round Table (BRRT) – 205, in Belgaum on Sunday.

The Moto was to take up the cause of blind persons apart from raising funds for constructing 6
classrooms for the underprivileged at Vantmuri village in Belgaum district. The blind men were given a pre-decided 32 kms route of the rally in the Braille language that will help them in guiding the vehicle.

Indrajeet Halgekar (Car No. 30) along with his visually impaired navigator Jayappa bagged the first prize. Vivek Judale (Car No. 26) along with navigator Suresh bagged the second
prize. The third prize was shared by Pavan Zanvar (Car No. 41) along with navigator Chaloba and Sneha Gotatgi (Car No. 25) along navigator Ningaraj.

Megha Shah (Car No. 04) along with navigator Savita bagged first prize in Best decorated car event. Pooja Mirji (Car No. 33) along with navigator Sonali secured second prize and Sneha Gotatgi (Car No. 25) won the third prize.
