Nasco Royals Potdar royals open with a winning note
In Bhatkande sports Academy organized MLA Sanjay Patil T20 Belgaum champions’ league being played at the CpEd. Ground, Nasco Royals and Potdar royals won their opening matches on day one of the event.
Vardraj Super Kings Vs Nasco Royals
Vardraj Super Kings batting first scored 131 for loss 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Nasco Royals scored the required runs in 13.3 overs. Aatif Wadoo of Nasco Royals scored the first century of BCL and was declared the man of the match.
Potdar royals Vs Sri Sai Sports Gladiators
Potdar Royals batting first scored 150 for 7 in 20 overs.
In reply, Sri Sai Sports Gladiators could only score 145 for loss of 7 wickets and Potdar royals own the match by 5 runs.
BCL is a good tournament, but not as good as the Belgaum Premier League. The BPL had much better players of high quality and professionals. Where tha Belgaum Players had an opportunity to play against and also with some or many of the Karnataka Premier League players who played. Well all good for the cricketers of Belgaum as far as they get to play the game and money as well. Keep playing.
Whenever I get time I go and watch BCL cricket matches. Good tournament. There are specious shamiyanas all around the ground but spectators have to watch the matches standing for couple of hours. I also find good number of Sr.Citizen among the spectators. More number of cricket enthusiastic will come if the organisors arrange some benches in shamiyans for sitting purpose.
