Master Swimmers Mr. Laxman Kumbhar, Mr. Balwant Pattar, Mr. Lokappa and Mr. Jagadish Gasti represented Swimmers Club Belgaum at State Master’s Aquatic Championship and bagged 4 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals and 6 Bronze Medals. The championship was held at Nettakallapa Aquatic Centre, Bangalore on 1st and 2nd of November 2014. The detailed results are as follows;

Mr. Balwant Pattar Age : 63 yrs. Group H (60 to 64 yrs.)

Mr. Jagadish Gasti is a Physical Director in Sangoli Rayanna College, Belgaum. Mr. Laxman Kumbhar is retired RMS officer and member of Lingayat Sunghatne and Senior Citizen Association, Mahantesh Nagar. He is participating in swimming competition from the past 30 yrs. and bagged around 200 state and national medals. Mr. Balwant Pattar is retired BSNL Sub Divisional officer and former president and active member of Vishvakarma Maha Sabha. Mr. Lokappa is Assistant Director of Food and Civil Supply, Belgaum. All the swimmers are practicing at Rotary Corporation Sports Academy’s Swimming Pool, Goaves, Belgaum and Suvarna JNMC Olympic Size Swimming Pool, JNMC Campus, Belgaum under the guidance of Shri Umesh Kalghatgi and Shri Sudhir Kusane.
More than 500 swimmers from all over state participated in the above said championship. All the swimmers are selected in the Karnataka Team for Master’s National Aquatic Championships to be held at Bellary during 21st to 23rd November 2014.
