SiddMed eHealth Pvt Ltd(holding company of Homeomart) was founded by two persons from Belagavi namely, Vasant Prabhu and Girish Porwal in 2014.
Homeopathy is fast emerging as an alternative medicine of choice for the young Indian population. It is estimated to be 85 billion market in 2014 and as per Govt estimates there are 125 million Indians who solely depend upon Homeopathy for their health requirements. Industry body ASSOCHAM recently conducted a survey on ‘Homeopathy adoption’ randomly surveyed 5000 patients and found that over 55 per cent preferred Homeopathy as the treatment is safer and physiologically satisfactory with no side effects
Homeomart is focusing on the online space and offers a range of branded OTC products to consumers.
It has tied-up with Klicdoc a Bangalore based firm offering cloud based services offering online consultation and diagnostics services. “The collaboration offers our customers access to unprecedented number of Homeopathic doctors across the country. They can choose over 800 homeopathic specialists by specialization or location for their health requirement” said CEO Vasant Prabhu.
“We are Belgaum’s first registered ecommerce firm (as per commercial tax office records) and we wish to make it a success story by putting it on India’s ecommerce map by rapidly scaling up and offering the best of products and services. We are getting orders from every nook and corner of the country, infact we have started US & European operations and we are excited by the response” he further added.
