The TOI in a story has mentioned that, The international standard cricket infrastructure, which is coming up at Autonagar will be completed by the end of October this year.
On April 27,2010 we had made a story No progress at the cricket stadium at Auto Nagar Kanbargi.
The work on the same was started in 2007 by Karnataka Cricket Association. The work which was at a snails pace has now gathered momentum and is expected to end by October 2013.
The outfield will consist of Bermuda grass; the lush green outfield, will have eight-turf wickets at the centre apart from six-practicing wicket including a concrete wicket. KSCA have developed a cricket ground to provide opportunity to youngsters of Belgaum to play on an international standard ground. Once the ground comes up lot of matches will be played on this ground apart from this, KSCA will also come out with academy for U-16 and U-19 boys.
Already more than Rs 1 crore have been spent and it may cross more than Rs 2 crore before it is completed. 
Stop wasting money here and instead start any industry which will provide employment to people of Belgaum. Its been seen in past few years, govt is just spending money (crores of rupees) on so-called developmental works. We hardly see any investment type of project where we could see an income source for government and employment (full time) for people. We just hear announcement of multi-acres/ Multi-crore project and no implementations.
we can be positive that once internatinal matches start at this ground belgaum will known not only in
india but also across the world and we can hope for industries coming here

in big cities once in a wile matches r conducted , r u sure in belgaum its possible ?
in hubli also we have stadium and see how many matches are played yet!
The Construction of the Stadium of international Standards is equivalent to an industry in the following ways;
1.Employment is generated in the form of Contracts in fields like Electrical,Mechanical etc.The same Services ie Electrical ,Mechanical are required as maintainence after completion of the Services.
2. The House keeping services will be added later after completion of the stadium.
The above services are only in brief ,the actual is very much more.The services require man power and hence employment is generated.It is akin to a manufacturing unit,Steel plant ,Film Industry .
