2000 acres for IT park in Belgaum

Photo of author

A private members’ bill was introduced in the Karnataka Assembly’s winter session on Monday by Belgaum South MLA Abhay Patil.

The private members’ bill seeks the establishment of IT park in 2,000 acres land in Belgaum and this this would create employment for the youth from the region.

Private member means a member other than a minister.
As of now we have been able to get only this info, we are trying to get more info on the same.

It may be recalled that Desur IT park built on 42 acres is lying idle since 2010. A few plots in the same have been sold but no company has shown its interest in setting up shop there as the park is nothing but just plots with no connectivity and other infrastructure.

  1. Looks another scam to acquire precious Real Estate by conning the public & govt is in the offerings.
Look at who is promoting this and their track records … that speaks volumes about the motives!
The govt should wake up and cancel this allotment. Let it focus on attarcting the IT companies to an existing investment it has made in IT Park at Desur.
